Role Overview

The Investment Manager will be responsible for securing and mobilizing blended capital from Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), Limited Partners (LPs), impact investors, foundations, and other funding sources to support Impactium’s portfolio companies and flagship programs (Enable the Shakti, Bhartiya Entrepreneurs Program). This role is critical to our mission of bridging India’s financing gap and building an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Capital Mobilization & Fundraising

• Develop and execute fundraising strategy to secure capital from DFIs, impact funds, family offices, CSR programs, and institutional donors

• Build and maintain relationships with potential investors and capital partners aligned with impact investment thesis

• Prepare compelling investment proposals, pitch decks, and funding applications tailored to different investor profiles

• Track and manage fundraising pipeline, including prospect mapping, qualification, and deal closure

• Communicate impact metrics, portfolio performance, and investment returns to current and prospective investors

• Negotiate term sheets, investment agreements, and co-investment structures with LPs and partners

Portfolio Finance & Capital Management

• Monitor capital deployment across portfolio companies and programs

• Ensure efficient utilization of funds and adherence to investment guidelines

• Coordinate with portfolio companies on financial reporting, compliance, and capital needs

• Support blended capital structuring (grants + concessional debt + equity) to optimize impact and financial returns

• Manage investor relations and reporting obligations (quarterly/annual performance updates, impact assessments)

Strategic Partnership Development

• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with corporates, foundations, and development agencies

• Design co-investment platforms and collaborative capital structures with institutional partners

• Lead partnership discussions and support contract negotiations

• Maintain ongoing engagement with partners for program coordination and impact measurement

Market Intelligence & Strategy

• Stay informed on impact investing trends, DFI priorities, and capital market shifts in India

• Conduct market research on capital availability and investor interest in impact sectors (agritech, clean energy, women empowerment, rural development)

• Contribute to fundraising strategy refinement and capital allocation priorities

• Identify emerging opportunities for capital partnerships aligned with Impactium’s sectoral focus

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred but not required)

• Specialized training in impact investing, development finance, or venture capital is a plus

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, capital mobilization, or impact investing

• Proven track record of successfully securing capital from institutional investors, DFIs, or development agencies

• Experience with blended finance, impact funds, or impact investing preferred

• Strong understanding of impact metrics and social/environmental returns measurement

• Demonstrated experience in investor relations and stakeholder management
